A Message from Dom:

It was a hard decision for me to sell Frozen Memories but felt it was the right thing for my family. Due to some unusual circumstances, I find myself back as owner of Frozen Memories. Petersen’s Ice Cream will not be purchasing the store. This has come as a complete surprise to me. With that, we have lost the lease of the store. I will be liquidating the merchandise starting today and it will go through the 10th of November.

Wonderful friends were made over the time Becky and I have run the store. I appreciate all the help and love you have shown my family with the passing of Becky.

Your support of the store will never be forgotten.

Hi, everyone!

Can't believe it's already October and we've taken a break from blogging ;0P
Hope your summer was full of fun events and of course, many picture taking involved.

Maybe routine has settled in as back to school is underway and hopefully without a hitch! Are you getting those school pictures back from the photographers? I have! So I pulled out my personalized school papers from the store and put my son's photo with some embellishments on it = DONE! We have a HUGE selection of area schools and some clubs too. Call the store and ask them if they have your school in the bunch. Schools as far as Schaumburg to Bartlett to W. Chicago to Wheaton to...the list is LONG. So please call 630-830-7492.

The weather is getting colder and the days are getting shorter...we are also changing to our winter hours by opening the store from 11:00am so please note that when you come visit us. It is a good time to get some hot coffee and to shop, to chat or to create!

Now it's getting ready for the upcoming holidays that's probably on everyone's minds. If you have little ones (or maybe the big ones), you know Halloween is around the corner. I've seen a lot of yards already decorated for the fun event! We too have our place full of gouls and other fun creatures luring and hanging around!

I Spy!

Some new products in the store! LOL!!
But I will only share a little since you have to come to the store and see them in real life (IRL)!! Can you guess what's in the house?

Just love these PUFFY Thickers from American Craft. I've used the alphabet ones when they first came out and you'll end up using them over and over again. Now they came out with more fun fonts and shapes! I want them all! LOL!!

The papers are ready to brighten up your pages...love these fun colors and my favorite is the owls, trees, rain boots...oh, wait, the cityscape...ah! I can't decide! LOL!! What is your favorite...there's more but you'll have to come in and take a look ;0)

Speaking of Spring, I also took a picture of the Quickutz (QK) recent releases and they will go so well with the American Craft items. Don't believe me? Take a look for yourself....how can you not resist these?!

Also, QK came out with adhesive-back paper and they're not your ordinary paper! We're talking about cork, magnet, vellum and metal mediums. So easy to make some funky accents for your pages and cards. Notice the store has the "All-In-One" binder storage too!

On the ice cream side, we have some great new flavors! HINT: Girl Scout Cookies!!

OMGoodness! I tasted them all and they are the same as those cookies! So if you haven't had enough to fill your GS addiction, come to the parlor and have a scoop or two or three....heehee!!! What flavors are we talking about....chocolate, mint, caramel, pomegranate!! OK...I'm not saying anymore! You will have to taste them yourselves! LOL!!

Hello Everyone,

Attached are some files that are within your ROBO Master SW that are hidden so you might not know they are there. To view these files you will need the latest version of the ROBO Master SW. If you do not have it, it can be found here:

You will also need to have the latest version of the SW for any future classes. Please let me know if you need any help with the install, the SW or your cutter.

March classes:

Silhouette 102 (March 10 & March 24 - 6pm to 8pm) - $25
Learning the features of Print and Cut
We will be completing 2-3 projects during this two hour time frame

Silhouette 103 (March 21 - 11am to 1pm & March 22 - 2pm to 4pm)Learning the Get Outline (Auto Trace) feature making a project from a JPEG file, cutting it and putting it together. All paper will be provided just bring your favorite glue pen or roller. These dates are not in the calendar at this time so call the store to reserve your spot and please note them in your calendar.

Cutting with Vinyl (March 14 - 11am to 12:30pm & March 17 - 6pm to 7:30pm) - $15
This class is only and an hour and a half to learn the techniques of cutting with vinyl but that is all you will need. We will also be cutting a project and you will get to keep the file!

Silhouette On Demand (March 30 all day)You pick the class, you pick the time and it if is still open, itʼs yours.

Always remember if the class you want is full just give me or the store some alternate dates/times and we will do the best to fit it in at your convenience.

Isn't it a beautiful day today!! Hope everyone is enjoying the warm weather!!

Just got back from Silhouette 101 class :0) Can I just say WOW! I learned alot about my Silhouette!!! If you are thinking about purchasing the Silhouette and am not sure about this whole cutting (& writing/sketching) thing, you should take the class - you'll end up buying one! LOL!! For the rest of the month, Michelle will be teaching Silhouette 102 BUT if you are interested and have friends who also want to take 101, let her know. Later on today, I plan on playing with my Silhouette and apply all that I learned! When signing up for her classes, if you have a laptop and Silhouette by all means, bring them! But also come in early to set them up - like about 15 mins.

First of all, HAPPY FEBRUARY!!!

Hopefully eveyone survived all the Super Bowl festivities :0) Since I know nothing about football, I scrapped my heart out!

And speaking of scrapping...don't forget that we have "DAY CROPs" every Mondays & Thursdays for $5 from 10am to 3pm. So drop off the kids at school and come on over for some uninterrupted crop time. What a great excuse to get those pages done!

This Thursday (the 29th), we have a Valentine's card class from 10:30am to 12:30pm ($15).

I noticed on the home page that it indicates Bo Bunny papers - correction: it is mostly American Craft's TEEN line (fits perfect for Valentines!) and it is a BASICS class. Please bring your basic tool kit esp. adhesive, black marker (fine tip) and eyelet setter or CROP-a-DILE.

Hey all!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween...wasn't it great weather for it?!
And of course, there were TONS of pictures taken, right?!
So now's your chance to get some great Halloween papers & embellishments for those pictures!

Have any of you been to "Wicked", the musical? Well, did you know that we have a great idea for one of the "Wizard of Oz" papers? Come in and see the wonderful layout we have on display! It sold out once and we have it back in stock. Or what about those Halloween costumes with the "Wizard of Oz" theme? Also you can see by the picture below that we have some new manfacturers including Websters Page and Cosmo Cricket.

Now to the holiday season! I have taken some pictures of the embellishments! How cool are these! My personal favorite is the American Craft's Foiled embellishments and gotta love the tree trim! What is yours?

Halloween Treats!

Coming up next Monday, for most kids, will be no school (Columbus Day)!
So why not come in and get some Halloween spirit in gear with a treat bag and cards to send to some special friend!

There will be two classes before Halloween where you have an opportunity to create some FUN "treats!" First one is Monday, Oct 13 from 10:30am to 12:30pm and the second one is on Saturday, Oct. 18 from 10:30am to 12:30pm. The class fee is $12.

"Hello again Frozen Memories and/or Scrapbook Expo die cut fanatics! Some of you are both and we all know who you are!!

I wanted to let you know that I have a couple more die cut classes coming up this month, in fact right now, that you might want to come and join in the fun...

First, this Saturday (Sept 13th from 10:30-12:30) at Frozen Memories we will have a little Halloween Card Class – cost is $16.00. We will be making two cards with some QK Halloween Dies, a little ink, a little stickles, etc., but the best will be a sign that we are going to laminate when we get done so you can keep it for a long time and affix it proudly to your desk area at work, home, etc....too cute! I am dying to give you a hint but you need to come and take the class to see....but I will tell you that there are times when this sign really can apply, just ask my husband...hahaha. Next, I have a QuicKutz Border class featuring the cute little zoo animals border that some of you requested along with two other borders! Lastly, we have a second QuicKutz Layout Class this Sunday, (Sept 14th ) from 12:00-2:00pm for the boy’s page and 2:00-4:00pm for the girl’s page. This is the one that we had last month but some of you could not make it and requested a repeat class. . This is the one that we will learn a couple of techniques and these two Scrapbook pages are cute enough to frame for a baby gift! Cost is $15 for one or $25 for both. Call Frozen Memories today (630-830-7492) and reserve your spot, will cut off Thursday sign up so I have time to make up more kits if needed.

Anyone who has taken my classes knows that we have to have a good head count so I have enough kits made up ahead of time. If you have never used the Squeeze or Revolution we can have you play with one but most everything is cut out ahead of time so you can spend your time assembling and not cutting!

Oh and if you can, please bring your favorite scissors, 12” trimmer, glue and scrapbook tape. Everyone has their own favorites that they are most comfortable with.

For those of you not totally familiar with Frozen Memories yet, they are located on the south-east corner of Army Trail Rd and Route 59 in Bartlett (1081 W. Army Trail Road) so they are easy to get to.

So let's get started on the new class - TRAVEL and how appropriate as we are in vacation season! When you see the class sample, you will have to take this class because it's a suitcase album! In the past, I hear our customers commenting that others (other LSSs) only have the Big 10 schools but not the other (IL) state schools. One of our vendors happen to have licensing for these two schools so Frozen Memories thought "why not?!" So if you know someone who attends these schools, let them know we have them! Better yet...who's graduating this year? What a great gift to give for a special graduate!

On another note, please know that we also carry the CUBS, SOX, BEARS and Chicago landmarks in 12x12 papers! We had to re-order on some of those papers so get them while they're here!

Tinkering Ink is in the house!!

I have a couple more pictures of some new products that we are proud to carry. This company is fairly new called Tinkering Ink! We just fell in love with this particular line - such vibrant colors that we had to get it! LOL!!

On the opposite of color, we found this beautiful line that has cream, black and dark purple. This combination caught our eye too. These papers would be great for any occassion, be it wedding, prom or even a mother's day card!

So we hope you come in and see for yourself how beautiful these papers are!

New Products in the house....

First of all, I wanted to upload some pictures that I haven't had a chance until now (new camera means new software = very new!) and make some comments....

I do want to emphasize this BoBunny's Word Book "LOVE" for those who are stuck on what to do for a friend's wedding gift or bridal shower...this is PERFECT! Here's a picture I took (VERY limited...only 4 sets left). So jump on this opportunity to make that special gift!

OK...I was excited to see this "Wine" themed papers and embellishments! There are not too many products for wine lovers so this is a great thing to have for those wine tasting parties or the trips out to Napa/Sonoma areas. Or how about a layout on your favorite wines? I always forget which wines I enjoy so this might be a great way to keep track!

For those of you getting into card making, we have some really nice acrylic stamps from Inkadinkado that would be a great starting point in your collection. These are for all occassions so why not pick up a set? It even comes with an acrylic block!

We also have felt ribbons in the house!!! If you don't know by now, felt is one of the big trends at the trade show (Craft & Hobby Assoc. trade show in Anaheim CA this past January). We have my favorite color combo of pink & brown!

A Little Reflection....

Easter!!

Can you believe Easter is right around the corner from now...it's early this year! And are you ready? Do you have an outfit? Do you have a special dinner planned?

Do you have a homemade bag like this?

Well, we have the goods to put this bag into a festive mood! The papers from Reminisce are shimmery and add that bling! The "Easter Dinner" chipboard circle is in stock, designed by Margie Higuchi for LaserLine. We also have the acrylic dabbers to paint the bag - it makes creative life so much easier and no brush to clean! The Ranger Ink stickles and the Pebbles Inc. Chalk add the final touches to make this bag sparkle! The laser cut ribbon ("Hoppy Easter") and the various diecuts are also from LaserLine! So grab an empty bag, box or bucket and make it festive!

Currently we have the most recent release of Two Scoops but grab them before they sell out! I have gotten to see them in real life - pictures do not do them justice! You can use them in many different themes but I was looking for Easter and this hit it right on the mark! It's not the "cute" look but a very "mature" design. LOVE IT~!

PRIMA Printables!!

LOVE them!
I have to share a couple of projects I did with these wonderful papers!

This is a layout I did by using Pebbles Inc. chalks and adding the Prima flowers...all of these are available at the store!

I also added a color spray mist over the entire page (w/o picture, of course) and LOVED how it turned out!!

I used the Magnolia printed paper to cover a frame. Again I used the Pebbles Inc. chalk and sprayed to "fix" the chalk. I cut the flower out of the leftover paper, chalked, fixed and used foam tape to give it a 3D effect. I also used the Ranger's paint dabbers to color the edges of the frame to give it a finished look. Those are also available at the store...no foam bush needed so no mess! Gotta love that!

So come in and get some of these wonderful papers! Don't forget to pick up some of that chalk too! I love these so much, I tossed my other chalks I had! LOL!!
